Course objectives

  • Provide you with a mental model of how Posit Workbench operates

  • Practice typical operational and maintenance tasks for a Posit Workbench Admin

  • Highlight some best practices for maintaining the server

  • Offer guidance on troubleshooting and where to look when things go wrong


  • The course assumes you have experience with Linux. Specifically, you will need to:

    • Add a user on a Linux server

    • Navigate the file system

    • Edit configuration files using vim or nano

    • View and Modify file permissions
